Since receiving her first scholarship at age 11 from the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Miaomiao has been aided by numerous scholarships and awards. Her most recent studies with Kevin Kenner at the Royal College Music were supported by the RCM doctoral scholarship, the Elizabeth Massey Scholarship for Music from the Canadian Federation of University Women, the Female Doctoral Grant from the Canadian federal government, and the Ontario Student Opportunity Grant. For her Artist Diploma studies with Dr. John O’Conor in Ireland, she received the support of Wingates Foundation and Countess of Munster Musical Trust. While at the Royal Academy of Music in London she received support from the Leverhulme Trust, and Ambassador of Goodwill scholarship from Rotary International. In Canada, her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music were funded by the Gordon Kushner Scholarship, Women’s Arts Association, Helen Valenska Memorial Scholarship, Boris Berlin Scholarship, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Royal Bank of Canada Scholarship, Carmel Royce Alderson Memorial Scholarship, Margaret Millar Browne Memorial Scholarship, Freda Badgley Gunn Scholarship, and the Dorothea Danielle-Jenkins Scholarship.

Miaomiao’s success on the competition scene are reflected in her prizes at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition, London International Concerto Competition, Toronto Symphony Competition, Imperial Oils Young Musicians Competition, and the Bromsgrove Young Musicians Competition. Her notable performances include appearances at Cadogan Hall, St. James Piccadilly, Charter House, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Blue Elephant Theatre, and Conway Hall in London; Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts, Ettore Mazzoleni Concert Hall and Roy Thomson Hall, Toronto; Casa Orfeo, Kempff Foundation, Positano Italy; Musickhalle, Hamburg; Germany, Bank of Ireland Series, the RDS and the National Concert Hall of Ireland. She is also heard frequently at the Canadian High Commissioner’s official residence, Grosvenor Square. London. Her television and radio broadcasts include BBC Radio World Services, Channel Four (UK), RTE (Ireland), CBC and Bravo TV (Canada).
